Deserves Good Care.
Choosing the right pair is only part of the journey. Proper care can significantly extend its lifespan.
Cleaning
- Brush off dust after every wear
- Use a damp cloth on smooth leather
- Suede needs a dedicated brush and eraser
- Never machine-wash leather sneakers
Protection
- Condition leather every 4–6 weeks
- Apply a water repellent to suede
- Polish to build a protective layer
- Rotate pairs to let leather breathe
Storage
- Use cedar shoe trees to hold shape
- Store away from direct heat and sun
- Keep in breathable dust bags
- Avoid stacking pairs on top of each other
Maintenance
- Replace laces before they fray
- Resole before wear reaches the welt
- Address scuffs early
- Visit a cobbler once a year
